Become an Empire Oaks PTO Member and help make a difference for our students, teachers, and school community. Your $15 membership is valid for the school year and gives you the opportunity to vote at PTO general meetings, so you can have a voice in the programs, events, and decisions that shape the school year.

If I Join, What Am I Expected to Do?

Your level of involvement is completely up to you! Becoming a PTO member does not require you to attend every meeting, volunteer, or make a large time commitment. Simply joining supports our PTO and gives you a voice in our school community.

Do I Have to Attend Meetings?

No, but we would love to see you! General meetings are a great way to:

  • Hear the latest school and PTO updates
  • Share your ideas, questions, and feedback
  • Vote on PTO decisions, including how funds are used
  • Learn about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities
  • Participate in parent education programs offered during select meetings
  • Connect with other Empire Oaks families

Attend whenever your schedule allows. Whether you come to one meeting or every meeting, your participation and perspective are valued.

Do I Have to Volunteer?

No. Volunteering is always optional, and every contribution, large or small, is appreciated. Our volunteers help bring PTO events, programs, and resources to life while building connections with students, staff, and other families.

 

There are many ways to help, including opportunities that take place at school, at home, during the day, or in the evening. Whether you can give 30 minutes, help at one event, or take on a larger role, there is a place for you.

Ways to Get Involved

After joining, you can choose what works best for your interests and schedule:

  • Attend a general meeting and cast your vote
  • Share an idea or provide feedback
  • Help with setup, cleanup, or a short shift at an event
  • Donate supplies for a classroom, program, or celebration
  • Welcome new families or help promote PTO activities
  • Share a professional skill, hobby, or community connection
  • Stay informed by reading the PTO Post on ParentSquare

Help Bring a Program or Event to Life

Many of our PTO programs and events need volunteers to lead and support them. You can serve as a chair, team up with a co-chair, or help form a committee, whatever best fits your interests and availability.
